Trine University’s Short Story Club
By Alexis Crawford
Trine’s short story club has returned for the 2022 spring semester. The club meets once a month to discuss short stories for those that might not have the time in their schedule to read full novels.
The club is open to community members, students, and alumni to join. As of right now, the club is made up of a large majority of local community members, though the club has recently gained a member from Canada. If you would like to join but are worried that you’ve already missed the first meeting, don’t worry! There is still plenty of time to jump into the discussion. The club has an upcoming meeting on February 24 and will be exploring the short story “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
The club will hold its final meeting on March 24 and will be discussing “Time & Distance Overcome” by Eula Bliss.
All meetings are held via Zoom, and if you’re interested in participating, you can contact Jeanette Goddard for more information at goddardj@trine.edu.
