Are you a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, or a veteran?

At Trine, we support all branches  of the U.S. Armed Forces. Your service to our country may make you eligible for a variety of military education benefits including (but not limited to):

  • Post 9/11 GI Bill - Trine participates in the Yellow Ribbon program.
  • Montgomery GI Bill® - Get up to 36 months of educational benefits.
  • Tuition Assistance - Educational benefit for Active Duty personnel.
  • Veterans Assistance - Learn what other benefits exist once you leave the service
  • Financial Aid - Current year FAFSA must be completed at www.fafsa.gov

 

Title 38 United States Code Section 3679(e) Compliance Statement

In accordance with Title 38 U.S. Code § 3679(e), Trine University will not impose any penalty—including the assessment of late fees, denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds—due to the delayed disbursement of funding from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) or Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill).

To qualify for this provision, covered individuals must:

  • Submit a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for entitlement to education assistance under Chapter 31 or 33, or provide a Statement of Benefits from the VA’s eBenefits portal;
  • Submit a completed VA Form 28-1905 (for Chapter 31 recipients, if applicable);
  • Provide all other required documentation needed to certify enrollment.

This protection will extend from the date the documentation is provided until the earlier of:

  • The date on which payment from the VA is received, or
  • 90 days after the institution has certified tuition and fees to the VA.
