Academic Advising
The purpose of academic advising is to assist students in achieving their academic and career goals.
It is also important to help students identify these goals. While the core of academic advising is helping students select courses and complete various academic actions, the academic advising process involves much more.
An academic advisor is cognizant of the school's academic and personal help resources as well as having a thorough understanding of the school's academic procedures. The academic advisor is a catalyst for students, helping them proceed toward their goals by working with each student individually as determined by his or her unique circumstances.
The academic advisor interacts with his or her advisees on a regular basis, guiding them through their educational journey and offering assistance while encouraging them in their efforts. At Trine, you will be assigned an advisor that will monitor and steer your progress in the right direction.
