Do you like prizes? Good news! The Amy Salyer-Nicholls Writing Center hosts contests and events every semester.

Everyone is invited to participate in Writing Center events and contests! We typically host a few contests each semester where students of all majors and class levels can participate. Check out our current events below for more information!

Current Events

January Giveaway: ONE WEEK ONLY! The first 15 clients to make and attend a 30-minute appointment with the Writing Center between January 26-30 will receive free WC merchandise (your choice of tumbler, sweatshirt, hoodie or T-shirt). Limit one prize per client.

Writing submissions for the Hear My Voice competition are open until midnight on March 1, 2026.
