Trine Pre-PA Club introduces profession to Girl Scouts

October 23, 2024

Members of the Pre-Physician Assistants' Club of Trine University explained to area Girl Scouts what a physician assistant does at a special event on Oct. 19.

The club was invited to the Girl Scout STEM Expo at Purdue Fort Wayne to show K-12 girls what a physician assistant (PA) is and inspire them to consider a rising healthcare career.

Club members explained what a PA does through a word search, homemade case studies, coloring sheets and pipe cleaner organs/medical equipment.

"This event allowed us to share our passion for the profession with aspiring girls and we could not have been more grateful to participate!" said Karly Ewing, club president.
