Eta Kappa Nu

Eta Kappa Nu is a membership organization that is dedicated to encouraging and recognizing excellence in all Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) related fields.

The beginning of Eta Kappa Nu dates back to October 28th, 1904. It was originally founded by Maurice L. Carr, an electrical engineering student at the University of Illinois. Himself along with nine others envisioned an organization that would be responsible for recognizing the academic excellence of students in engineering. With this vision, the first chapter of Eta Kappa Nu was established.

Trine University is home to one of nearly 200 nationwide Eta Kappa Nu chapters. The University chapter prides itself in its ability to recognize students with outstanding character that practice academic excellence in the fields of computer and electrical engineering.
