Samantha Fulton ~ Director of Dual Enrollment

Education has always been my passion. With a background as a high school teacher and adjunct professor, I’ve spent the past 15 years teaching math and science—and learning just as much from my students as they’ve learned from me. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching students grow into confident, capable individuals. Being part of that journey has been a true privilege.

While I’ve recently stepped out of the classroom, my commitment to student success remains strong. As the Director of Dual Enrollment at Trine University, I’m excited to support high school students as they take their first steps into higher education. My goal is to build strong connections between high schools and colleges, helping students, teachers, and families navigate the Dual Enrollment process with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, life is an adventure! My husband Ryan and I have been married for 20 years, and together with our two kids, Collin and Madalynn, we love spending time outdoors—camping, hiking, and kayaking. We share our home with three dogs (yes, three!) and, thanks to my science teacher roots, a handful of quirky pets. I’m also a lifelong learner who’s always diving into a new hobby or interest—exploring is just part of who I am.

Zac Zumbaugh ~ Assistant Director of Dual Enrollment Matriculation

I have spent my entire career so far in education. As the son of a former teacher, I have a deep passion for contributing to quality education. My own college journey saw many ups and downs. Using my experience to help others navigate the challenges of the process has become a vocation.

Now that work continues in dual enrollment. My other areas of expertise include recruitment, admissions, financial aid/FAFSA, academic and student success coaching, transfer credit evaluation, billing/clearing and event preparation and execution for prospective students. I work rigorously to ensure students see all the benefits of their education and achieve their highest potential of personal and professional growth.

Life outside of work revolves around my family and my golden doodle. I love golf, running, college sports and music (live and otherwise).
