Blake Powell, 2019 Management
Blake Powell, a 2019 Ketner School of Business alumnus, works for Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management as a Wealth Manager. While there are many things to enjoy about the work Blake does, his favorite aspect of working in wealth management is educating people on making important financial decisions.
"Social skills are as, if not more, important than fundamental financial principles," shared Blake. "Make sure that you are building a resume with experience!"
"Because Trine is an intimate school, I was able to build relationships with professors
who challenged me and ultimately wanted to see me succeed in my academic and professional
career. My professors gave me guidance on choosing a career path, and what I needed
to do to get there."
- Blake Powell
Blake shared that students should become as involved on campus as they can. "Whether that be an academic club, professional organization, Greek life, athletic team or, even better, a combination of them all," said Blake. "Building a network of friends, mentors and coaches is what college is all about."
