The experience: Hands-on with techniques, policies and technology
You will benefit from hands-on learning experiences on the techniques, policies, operational procedures and technologies that secure and defend the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data online. Students have participated in cyberdefense competitions and a capstone experience that includes working with a local business to create a solution for a real-world problem.
The result: Be qualified for administration and security roles
Graduates of our computer and information technology program are ready for jobs in the information and technology industry, business, public service and other professions. By completing the cybersecurity concentration, you will be qualified to work as a network, system or database administrator, CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) or ISO.
CIT graduates are also prepared for prestigious graduate schools and can pursue a variety of programs, including information and management science, information science, biomedical informatics, information security, information technology, and technical law.
