Message from the Director

Welcome to the Trine University Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program website. Here, you'll find information about our program, mission, goals, application process, and student outcomes. We hope that this website serves as a comprehensive resource for potential applicants to our program and as a resource for those interested in learning more about the PA profession.

Our program is located in our brand-new facility, opened in 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and welcomed its first cohort in 2017.  We have dedicated faculty from diverse clinical backgrounds committed to our profession and to educating the next generation of physician assistants.

We offer a distinctive, life-cycle-based curriculum that combines traditional lectures with small-group, problem-based learning cases. Our curriculum builds on previous obtained knowledge and spans all courses and semesters. This allows students to develop and refine their skills throughout the course of the entire curriculum. Learning takes place in modern classroom spaces, a state-of-the-art simulation hospital equipped with various training mannequins, and an extensive cadaver lab. The clinical year further develops the student’s mastery of competencies and knowledge in diverse clinical placements.
