I have been in the field of addictions for 30 years, providing direct service in individual
and group therapy; performing administrative functions at the local, county, regional
and state level in Michigan; contracted with Community Corrections to provide group
and individual services in Steuben County; and have had a small private practice emphasizing
brief therapy and education. I have been licensed in Indiana as a Clinical Addiction
                                    Counselor.
I have taught as an adjunct faculty member in three colleges in three separate states:
Nebraska, Michigan and Indiana. I have instructed students on-ground for nine years
and online for 12 years.  I have taught a variety of courses during that time with
an emphasis on Addiction, Counseling and Human Services. I also facilitate the Capstone
Demonstration Course online at Trine University for the Bachelor of Psychology degree.
Being an addictions professional has given me the opportunity to see dramatic changes
in individuals and their lives as they move toward a more balanced life and a natural
                                    support system.
My leisure time for balance includes kayaking, fishing, boating in the area lakes,
ACBL Bridge Tournaments, Mahjong groups and music.
