Frederick Douglas Lumpkin has been delivering IT solutions, and Human Capital services for over 25 years. He has worked with organizations such as Compuware, American Express, ADP, Detroit Cristo Rey High School, and Computer Associates. Throughout his tenure with these organizations, Fred has supported the implementation, and management of Work-Based Learning Programs, and Cloud Storage/Data Migration solutions.
Fred holds a B.A. in Economics from the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio), and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy (Detroit, MI). Fred has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Information Technology for Trine University and he is excited about moving into his new role as an Assistant Professor. He has taught at various Universities, both undergraduate and graduate level courses, for over 20 years. He has taught courses including but not limited to, Cyber Security, Data Base Management, Data Science, Networking, and Software Engineering.
Fred has been married for 27 years to his wife, Karen, who is a Flight Attendant. They have two adult daughters that live in Chicago and New York. In his spare time, he continues to pursue his passion for developing our future workforce talent. He is the Co-Founder of Work for Tomorrow, which delivers an innovative framework, for schools, and businesses interested in developing data-driven Work Based Learning, and Early Talent Pipeline programs. Additionally, he enjoys 2–3-mile runs, and golf.
