Cheryl Kline, with a background as a Group Controller and Director for a Fortune 500 company, transitioned to teaching at Trine after several years in the corporate world. Identifying as a lifelong learner, she is passionate about imparting her love of learning and corporate business experience to her students, fostering a reciprocal learning environment.
Her teaching experience at Trine University spans various classes, including Professional Studies students, both undergraduate and graduate students on the main campus and online. Currently teaching online, Cheryl also contributes to course development for Trine Online and serves as a Program Matter Expert for the business and MBA programs.
Cheryl holds a B.A. from St. Francis University, an MBA and a Master of Organization Development from Bowling Green University. While completing coursework for a Ph.D. from Northcentral, she has achieved ABD status. Additionally, she has received a certificate for completing the Quality Matters APPQMR program, utilizing the gained insights in the development of Open Educational Resources (OER) online courses, a novel concept embraced by Trine Online students.
Residing with her husband at Lake James in Angola, Cheryl is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of the Lone Tree Point Association and Lake James Association. Their primary mission involves promoting the enhancement and preservation of lake resources. Beyond her professional and community engagements, Cheryl finds joy in boating, reading, gardening, genealogy research, and traveling. Having explored various destinations, including Europe, Greece, the Caribbean islands, and 45 U.S. states, she looks forward to visiting the remaining five.
