Abraham Guevara Davalos said he became interested in Trine University’s Master of
Science in Business Analytics (MSBAN) program because he felt the skills and knowledge
offered in the program are relevant in the current economy and easily transferable
to his career.
He not only gained the expertise he was looking for, but excelled academically, earning
Outstanding Student honors for MSBAN program this year.
Full-time classes with full-time work
Abraham was looking for a graduate program that allowed working professionals to manage
a full-time course load while working a full-time job. He was pleased by the flexibility
Trine offered.
“I was able to do my work at my own pace, manage my own schedule, and work with faculty
to tailor the most impactful work plan for my needs,” he said.
The MSBAN piqued his interest because of the exposure it offers to artificial intelligence
and programming, and how those apply to business operations.
“I knew I would have the opportunity to learn skills that are highly on demand and
would turn me into top professional talent,” he said. “My most valuable experience
at Trine was learning how to leverage AI to write code, even with no programming experience
at all! I had the opportunity to practice in class and apply at work.”
He also enjoyed the opportunity to meet peers from all over the work and interact
with faculty during in-person class sessions.
“The faculty members I learned from are multi-year professionals who are still active
in their industries and know what current business skills and opportunities are needed
to succeed at the workplace,” he said.
Abraham said he will continue to apply what he has learned in the workplace and hopes
to advance into a role that will allow him to continue sharpening his business analytics
skills.
