
Trine VP Bennett named to 5th ICI Leadership Academy
The Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) has selected Kim Bennett, vice president for enrollment management at Trine University, to be part of the fifth cohort of its ICI Leadership Academy.

Trine University students have elected Student Government officers for the 2024-25 school year.
Executive officers
As president, Pacer will call and preside over Student Senate meetings, oversee Senate elections and serve as liaison between the students and administration of Trine University.
As vice president, Ross will assume responsibilities of the president when the president is unable to be present, chair the Oversight Committee, chair Student Government elections and review Student Government bylaws twice a year.
As treasurer, Wrachford maintains and reports on the Student Government budget, chairs the Finance Committee and enforces the budget guidelines of the Student Government.
As secretary, she will maintain all official records of the Student Government, take minutes of all Student Senate and Executive Board meetings and distribute to the Bodies of Government. She also will coordinate social media and marketing efforts and chair the Outreach Committee.
In his role, Kruse will coordinate organization attendance at Student Senate meetings, maintain and update student organization records each semester, communicate with organization leaders on a regular basis to develop strategic partnerships and assist with student organization training.
Shemwell will maintain and distribute weekly Campus Activities Board updates, chair the Campus Activities Board in coordination with the assistant Director of student engagement and act as a liaison between the Campus Activities Board and the Student Government Executive Board.
Senators
Heidi Wilhelm, a senior from Angola, Indiana, majoring in biology education/pre-speech pathology, was elected Senior Class Senator. Wilhelm is part of Christian Campus House, Health Science Association, Phi Eta Sigma, Honors Society, Study Abroad Club and Bon Appetit Committee. She currently serves as Sophomore Class Senator and SOAR and Fall Orientation leader.
Cadence Bommarito, a junior from Caledonia, Michigan, majoring in English/Language Arts Education, and Layla Stickley, a junior from Delta, Ohio, majoring in elementary and special education, were elected Senators for the Franks School of Education.
Bommarito is a member of Alpha Sigma Tau, Trine Writer's Block, Psychology Club and Trine women’s basketball. She also serves as a SOAR and Fall Orientation leader.
Stickley is a member of Society of Future Educators and Theta Phi Alpha. She serves as Student Government Correspondent, SOAR and Fall Orientation leader.
Aubrey Larner, a senior from Williamston, Michigan, majoring in business administration, was re-elected as a senator for the Ketner School of Business (KSB). Griffin Max, a junior from Loveland, Ohio, majoring in business administration, was elected as the second KSB senator.
Larner is a member of the Finance Committee, Theta Phi Alpha, Entrepreneurs Committee, Women in Business and National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. She serves as a SOAR and Fall Orientation leader.
Max served as Student Government secretary during the 2023-24 school year. He is a member of Alpha Sigma Phi and Ehinger Fellows, and serves as a SOAR and Fall Orientation leader.
Kevin Keys, a senior from Muncie, Indiana, majoring in psychology and biology, was elected senator for the Jannen School of Arts and Sciences. Keys serves in peer tutoring and mentoring, leads a Bible study and is a member of the Weightlifting Club.
Garrett Adams, a senior from Greenfield, Indiana, majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering, was re-elected as a senator for the Allen School of Engineering and Computing (ASEC). Jessica Bailey, a senior from Fort Wayne, Indiana, majoring in biomedical engineering, was elected as the second ASEC senator.
Adams serves as a peer tutor and is a member of the Journal Club and Society of Automotive Engineers.
Bailey is a member of Newman Catholic Fellowship and Alpha Eta Mu Beta.
Senators represent the student body by working with administration to address student suggestions. They also promote school spirit and campus social activities.
