Summary
Trine University is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Video Content Producer to develop compelling visual stories that support student recruitment, academic programs, athletics, advancement, alumni engagement, and institutional branding. This role will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and delivering both short-form and long-form video content to support digital, social media, web, and event platforms.
The ideal candidate is a skilled visual storyteller who is passionate about capturing authentic campus experiences and transforming them into engaging content that connects with prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders while supporting the Trine University mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Video Content Producer will work under the direction of the Executive Director of Creative Services to:
- Plan, manage, develop and edit professional-quality video content to highlight and promote the university, its programs, events and mission through short-form and long-form videos.
- Plan and execute video recording and editing of significant campus events, including commencement-related activities and other similar programs.
- Support Advancement through production of video content designed to promote overall fundraising and important events such as Scholarship Gala and Touchstone.
- Support and produce content in collaboration with the Executive Producer of Trine Broadcasting Network.
- Support Trine University social media efforts by creating engaging, short-form videos and sharing them with the Digital Marketing Specialist to post on Trine’s social media platforms.
- Develop, communicate, and carry out guidelines to ensure proper brand management and effective implementation in all videos.
- Create content for videoboard and operate for athletic events.
- Ensure the maintenance and updating of equipment and software critical to producing Trine content.
- Participate in, and contribute to, department creative planning sessions.
- Recruit and train student workers to assist in video production and Trine Broadcasting Network operations.
- Work with members of the Marketing team, other stakeholders and outside agencies to create new videos and make updates to existing marketing materials and digital assets.
- Other duties, as assigned by the Executive Director of Creative Services and the Vice President for University Marketing & Communications.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in film production, video production, communications, multimedia, or a marketing-related field
- 2-5 years of experience in videography for a business or organization
- Experience with Adobe video-editing software and project management software
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both short-form and long-form video production
- Experience operating professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment
