Summary

This role provides marketing, group event planning, communication and project management support for the projects, group events and communication plans for the Office of Admission. This role requires a strong, demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities, deliverables, and timelines. The building and management of project plans are essential to the success and support of the admissions and recruitment goals. With leadership and support from the VP and AVP, this position collaborates closely with the admissions team, the admissions operations team, the various colleges and departments, and the University Office of Marketing and Communications. This position must also have a broad understanding of appropriate academic programs and potential future directions; be flexible, visionary, creative, and energetic and, possess a demonstrated capacity to lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop ADM annual mail grid/timelines for all admission communication projects, including digital and print
  • Work with the Office of Marketing and Communications to manage the projects, plans, purchase orders, approvals, and timelines
  • Assist in running processes daily out of Slate
  • Analyze data and trends for marketing materials/web content/other
  • Prepares annual reports for the admission office
  • Demonstrates the ability to clean and verify data
  • Assists with third-party processes for bulk mailings and other
  • Review monthly web content for accuracy and make recommendations on changes and handle the updates
  • Handles print collateral inventory requests
  • Back-up office manager and enrollment coordinators as needed
  • Be flexible with evening and weekend hours for events
  • Other duties as assigned by the AVP for Enrollment Management

Preview Day/Group Events/Scholarship Day:

  • Oversee all administrative, managerial, and performance-based aspects of all Preview Day visitation programs and Storm Saturday programs
  • Work with all areas (ex., Athletics, Food Service, AV, Academics, Facilities, and others) involved in Preview Days to thoroughly coordinate all aspects of the event
  • Assists with the annual marketing direct-mail grid, working closely with staff in implementing mailings on a strategic, timely, and cost-efficient basis.
  • Proactively propose new ideas to improve and enhance the visitor experience
  • Provide insight on new ideas to improve and enhance Preview Days and Storm Saturdays.
  • Responsible for providing a comprehensive marketing plan to recruit new students through the campus visit program, which thoroughly analyzes and assesses Trine’s competitive markets and concludes with realistic goal projections for event and individual visit attendance.
  • Has responsibility for assisting the Director of Admission in planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and efforts, which seek to enroll an academically talented and culturally diverse student body.
  • Team with the Visit Coordinator to create a “best visit ever” experience
  • Coordinates grades 9-12 group events on campus and serves as the main point of contact for the event
  • Prepares, reviews, and submits reports as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required; prefer three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
