I am a Purdue University graduate with a bachelor's degree in dietetics. During my time at Purdue, I was involved in nutrition research focused on protein intake, exercise and appetite. I completed my dietetic internship at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston and earned my master's degree in nutrition science from Texas Woman's University. Before transitioning to higher education, I spent three years teaching food science and culinary arts at a high school in Houston.

As a registered dietitian and educator, I enjoy helping students better understand nutrition and how it supports health, performance and overall well-being. Creating learning environments that encourage curiosity, critical thinking and practical application is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching, especially when working with students as they prepare for careers in health-related professions.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks with a good cup of coffee, trying new restaurants, reading, playing tennis and finding time to cook and bake whenever I can.
