Like every young boy from Indiana, I always pictured myself growing up to be the quarterback for the Colts or the point guard of the Pacers one day. Once it became clear that my natural athletic abilities were not going to be enough to propel me to those heights, being in the healthcare field was the only other thing I ever saw myself doing. I found physical therapy as a viable path through a shadowing program that I completed while I was in high school, and once I learned of the 3 + 3 program that Trine offered, my decision was made.

I finished my bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2017 and received my doctorate in 2020. After graduating in all the chaos that was the early months of the pandemic, I began working at Parkview Hospital Randallia in outpatient therapy. I mainly work with the general orthopedic population, but I also built a specialty caseload and am one of the primary clinicians in the Parkview system who sees patients after lower limb amputations, helping to regain function using various prosthetic limbs. Outside of the clinic, I try to be heavily involved in the American Physical Therapy Association, serving in committees and leadership positions at the state and local levels.

Despite graduating and starting my career, I never strayed far from Trine and its physical therapy program. In fact, just one semester after I graduated from the program, I began my role as a clinical instructor in Trine’s CARE program. It was through this role that I found a new passion for working with students and helping them on their journey to become great clinicians one day. Eventually, this led to the opportunity to be adjunct faculty for the university and a course instructor for the classroom portion of the CARE program. My adjunct role eventually expanded to include teaching about prosthetics and helping with various other classes. In 2026, I was offered the chance to join the Trine DPT faculty in a full-time position, and I made the jump from my clinical role into the world of academics, while still maintaining a part-time position at Parkview Randallia.

Beyond work, I try to keep up with interests including sports, cooking, current events, travel, advocating for the profession and spending time with my lovely wife, Sydney.
