Dr. Adedeji Olugboja is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in information technology from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in information systems from the University of South Africa. Before joining academia, Dr. Olugboja gained extensive industry experience serving in technical and managerial roles such as database administrator, data manager and principal data processing officer. His academic career includes teaching appointments at Monash University South Africa and Eswatini Medical Christian University, where he rose to the rank of senior lecturer.
Dr. Olugboja's research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and healthcare analytics, with a focus on image classification, predictive modeling, federated learning and intelligent diagnostic systems. His recent work explores AI-driven healthcare innovations aimed at improving disease detection, risk prediction and patient outcomes through ethical and explainable AI frameworks.
He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference papers advancing the application of machine learning and deep learning in biomedical and health informatics. Beyond research, Dr. Olugboja actively mentors students and develops AI-focused academic programs and interdisciplinary initiatives that integrate data science, business analytics and healthcare technology.
