After more than 30 years as a management accountant, I joined Trine’s Ketner School of Business in 2012 with the goal of linking textbook accounting principles with day-to-day life in corporate America.
As an accounting manager for Navistar, I was able to establish and manage a cooperative education program where accounting students worked part time for my team while continuing their education. I was able to hire many of these students over the years. As a former hiring manager, I stress to every student I work with the need for strong interpersonal/people skills, in addition to the technical knowledge they should have from completing their coursework.
My wife, Deb, and I have two children, Vince and Lisa. We enjoy living on Hamilton Lake in Hamilton, IN and sharing the lake experience with friends, family and guests. My wife and I are also cantors for various Masses and long time members of the adult choir at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Fort Wayne.
