I am an assistant professor in the Ketner School of Business with more than 25 years of experience spanning project management, career development, higher education, management consulting and market research.
Before joining the faculty full-time, I worked in Trine University's Career Center for more than a decade. I was initially hired as director of the Career Center and helped develop the department through a variety of project-based initiatives designed to connect students with meaningful career opportunities and employer partners. As the department evolved, my role shifted to focus more heavily on career coaching, employer engagement and student success.
Prior to higher education, I spent 12 years in project management and leadership roles within project-based organizations, serving as a senior project director and program director in the management consulting and market research industries. These experiences continue to shape my teaching by helping students understand how project management, leadership, communication and professional development come together in today's workplace.
Today, I teach courses in project management, professional development and business fundamentals, helping students connect classroom learning to real-world career success. Career coaching and professional development have always been central to my work, and I remain passionate about helping students explore career options, develop professionally and prepare for meaningful careers.
I hold a Master of Arts in counseling from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy serving my community through volunteer leadership and supporting initiatives that strengthen connections between Trine University, employers and the broader Northeast Indiana region.
Fun fact: My husband and three sons are Trine University alumni.
